Earlier this year Nostraverse, a Metaverse app which was released in the Oculus Store, is all set to open a subsidiary in the UAE because of the blockchain and crypto projects that continue to flock to the Emirates.

Sam Clever also added that they are planning to hire up to 100 employees in Dubai in the next 12 months, and he brought parallels between the Metaverse and the internet revolution. The tech entrepreneur said that the industry totally underestimates and misjudges the massive disruptive effect of the Metaverse. Overview of Dubai Metaverse Strategy
The Government disclosed the Dubai Metaverse Strategy in May, seeking to capitalize on this sector’s incredible growth potential to support and benefit the economy. Particularly, the Dubai Government is intending to create over 40,000 jobs and increase its GDP by $4 billion by 2030. The Dubai Metaverse Strategy is directed by Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He emphasized the importance of embracing the Metaverse to help secure Dubai’s position as an innovative, forward-looking city.
Earlier this year, the Dubai Crown Prince said that the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to establish a higher committee to supervise Dubai’s future technological developments show the importance of dealing with the future with an open mind. He also added that this move will help everyone fully understand reality and explore unique different ideas that will shape a very brighter future for Dubai and the UAE, maximizing future business opportunities.
